1905 original Lithograph poster advertisement for Menthe-Pastille. Menthe-Pastille was developed in 1885 by Emile Gifford a chemist in France. He took an interest in the digestive and refreshing properties of mint and ended up concocting a pure, clear and refined white mint liqueur.
